SEL Parent Brochure:

SEL Parent BrochureThis 6-panel brochure promotes the benefits of social and emotional learning (SEL) to all Illinois parents and caregivers with school-age children. It's purpose is to educate everyone on what SEL is and why it is important for our schools to implement the SEL standards. The brochure also highlights what parents and caregivers can do both at home and with their school to promote their children's healthy social and emotional development and academic achievement. A list of educational resources is included to help parents and caregivers raise caring, confident and capable children who are better prepared to succeed in school, work and life.

Click on the brochure icon for a laser-printer pdf which prints two-sided on an 11" x 8.5" sheet with guides for folding into 3 panels. Click here for a spanish language version. Please print as many brochures as you like and distribute them to parents and caregivers at your school and throughout your community. Ask them to support implementation of the SEL standards by doing the same. Click here for a screen version pdf of the brochure.
