SEL Implementation Training
The Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership has a state-wide training coordinator and a network of Professional Development providers across the state of Illinois. These individuals have experienced significant training and coaching in schools to develop and support school-wide Social Emotional Learning implementation. If you or your school are interested in receiving more information on Social Emotional Learning please contact the ICHMP training coordinator, Linda Delimata at ldelimata@leeogle.org or call 815-652-2054 ext 224.
Training and Support Options
If you would like to engage in comprehensive training to implement SEL and the SEL Standards, a three-year process will be available starting fall of 2010, which includes:
- A two-day training (first available in the fall of 2010)
- A one-day follow up training ( in the spring of 2011)
- A fourth day of training in your second year of the process
- A fifth day of training in your third year of the process
- Monthly coaching and technical assistance throughout the three year process
For this option contact SEL Training Coordinator, Linda Delimata, at 815-652-2054, x224 or ldelimata@leeogle.org to sign-up now. You may also contact your Area State SEL Cadre representative to sign-up. You may sign-up even if you are not sure that your school is ready to commit to this option.
If you are already implementing SEL, but want to be trained on specific aspects of SEL Implementation (e.g., how to embed the SEL Standards in instructional practice, how to select an evidence-based SEL program that best fits your school):
- Differentiated trainings and workshops will be available, starting the fall of 2010, that focus on specific SEL implementation needs
If you currently implement SEL, but would like support to enhance your implementation process:
- Short-term coaching will be available, starting the fall of 2010
