History: The Financing Workgroup provides leadership and guidance to the ICMHP and its member agencies in developing a public/private financing plan with key recommendations for taking to scale and sustaining those initiatives, services, and programs initiated as part of the ICMHP Strategic Plan. The financing plan is considering: how to maximize key public (e.g., Medicaid, state appropriations) and private funding streams, how to take initiatives and projects to scale, and how projects and initiatives will be sustained. In developing the plan, the Workgroup recognizes that a comprehensive continuum of children’s mental health promotion, prevention, early intervention and treatment services needs to be fully funded. The Workgroup is focusing its efforts on the initiatives begun through the Strategic Plan in a commitment to ensuring that these new and enhanced programs and services are sustained. Current Activities: The Workgroup is developing a comprehensive public/private financing plan.
- Analyzing state agency recommendations for taking to scale the ICMHP strategic priorities.
- Analyzing existing funding streams to identify strategies for strengthening funding of strategic priorities.
- Developing funding recommendations based on this analysis and review.
